Strategic, innovative creative
I help teams align, move fast, and bring bold ideas to life.
VR Synoptophore
The VR Synoptophore is an immersive diagnostic tool designed to assess binocular vision disorders. Developed with a UC Davis ophthalmologist, it brings analog tools into an engaging VR environment for children.
The original analog synoptophore is bulky and hard to maintain. Our VR version solves for this with portable, user-friendly diagnostics that maintain clinical precision and improve the patient experience.
I led design and software development, integrating eye-tracking and spatial calibration. Clinical testing has shown promising accuracy. One pediatric ophthalmologist noted, “We enrolled a patient with strabismus. She wears 5 prism diopters to avoid double vision. Your software measured 5.4 prism diopters. Amazing." Patent proceedings have begun following the submission of a formal Record of Invention.
Robot-Assisted, Micro-Targeted Art Direction
A global brand faced a major challenge: how to scale localized, nuanced, and culturally relevant creative across a wide range of global markets. I developed a solution using AI and Python-based automation to rapidly evaluate, select, and refine the strongest assets for each audience, preserving creative integrity while increasing output and speed.
Ongoing work builds on that foundation, integrating AI pipelines, software-based cameras, immersive streaming, and a precision robotic arm for automated motion capture and post-production workflows.
Building Futures in Virtual Space
When Facebook rebranded as Meta, the mission to recruit top talent remained, but many candidates couldn’t yet picture the metaverse. I led the development of a VR recruiting experience that won a company-wide hackathon.
To gain buy in from the Recruiting Products team, I framed the experience not as a flashy demo, but as a strategic bridge between candidate curiosity and recruiter confidence. I partnered with stakeholders across product, UX research, and recruiting to show how the experience could demystify metaverse concepts, spark meaningful conversations, and scale recruiter impact. The strategy worked and the experience was added to the official product roadmap.
To create a lasting impression, we extended the experience into an interactive “offer letter world,” a personalized, spatial environment that welcomed candidates into their next chapter. Unlike the typical PDF or email, this experience invited candidates to step into a branded, imaginative space that reflected Meta’s vision and values. It transformed a transactional moment into a celebration, helping new hires feel inspired, connected, and proud to join a company shaping the future.
Sentiment Mesh:
A Reddit AI Sentiment Explorer
This weekend project started with a challenge:
How can we use 3D space to make large scale data feel intuitive, especially around something as complex and fast-changing as AI sentiment?
I pulled the top 50 posts from the last month across six subreddits: r/ChatGPT, r/ArtificialIntelligence, r/Futurology, r/Jobs, r/DigitalMarketing, and r/AI
With the goal of analyzing how different communities talk about AI. Using the Reddit API, a Python backend, and VADER sentiment analysis (via NLTK), I tagged each post with a sentiment score and mapped it in a 3D scene using Three.js.
Each point is a post:
Sentiment controls vertical position (positive floats up, negative sinks).
Recency controls depth (older posts fall further back).
Subreddit controls horizontal grouping, forming visible columns by community.
The result is an interactive landscape where you can see how people feel about AI across different corners of the internet.
One insight that stood out: overall sentiment was more positive than expected. This could reflect the subreddit selection—or a broader optimism around AI in these spaces.
For next steps: I’d like to add the ability for users to query any subreddit and compare sentiment trends dynamically, turning this into a tool for real-time cultural insight.
When the World Paused, We Kept It Running
Created in partnership with Facebook Engineering, this campaign honored the engineers and infrastructure that quietly held communities together during crisis. We connected people to food and medical support, elder care, housing, and other critical services when timing and access meant everything. From livestreaming church services to helping small businesses stay visible, this work spotlighted the power of connection in a moment when the world stood still.
At the 2024 MIT Reality Hack, I joined a team of four designers to create P.E.C.K, an AR pen pal app for middle schoolers. Built with 8th Wall on Meshy’s API, the app allows students to share culturally meaningful objects like favorite meals, traditional items, and family keepsakes as interactive 3D models. It also supports recorded audio to help kids explain the significance of each item and foster global understanding.

Zen Doodle Oasis
Designed to offer moments of mindful creativity, the app blends ambient soundscapes with soft visuals to help reduce stress and encourage expression. Whether you're 4 or 40, every brushstroke and interaction becomes a shared journey into imagination, emotional self-regulation, and joy.

Zen Doodle Oasis is an experimental VR experience designed to support mental wellness in both kids and adults. Users explore calming, interactive environments inspired by real children's artwork. Each scene is painted with care, featuring vibrant colors, peaceful animations, and characters created by kids themselves.
